Casa Iskali is a Catholic retreat center that welcomes all, a space for prayer, formation, and community. We serve faith-based, not-for-profit organizations seeking a peaceful environment for retreats, meetings, and spiritual encounters.

Our campus is especially designed to offer a setting where diverse communities can come together to rest, reflect, and grow in faith. Every stay is supported by a dedicated hospitality team focused on creating a welcoming, simple, and human-centered experience.

From the first contact to the final day of your retreat, we take care of the details so your group can fully focus on what matters most.

We welcome adults, teens, multi-generational, and culturally diverse groups in a space designed for encounter and belonging.

A multipurpose hall that seats up to 200 people, ideal for conferences, workshops and large group sessions.

Spacious chapel

A large and adaptable chapel space that seats up to 100 people for prayer, liturgy and reflection.

Home-style dining

High-quality meals are freshly prepared with flexible menus and special dietary needs accommodated.

Comfortable lodging

Overnight accommodations in mostly single bedrooms, designed for rest and simplicity.

Nature and recreation

Six acres of beautiful grounds for walking and reflection, plus an enclosed year-round swimming pool.

Exclusive retreat option

The possibility of reserving the entire house for groups of 55 or more.

Our Lady of Guadalupe

Campus

Casa Iskali is a campus dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, honoring her desire to have a place where she can care for her children.

As she said to Juan Diego:
“¿No estoy yo aquí que soy tu madre?”
Am I not here, I who am your mother?

Inspired by her words, Casa Iskali aspires to be a space where all people may encounter her love, compassion and protection.

Our Story Carrying the legacy of Mother Cabrini

Casa Iskali continues a long tradition of hospitality and service in Chicago.

 In 2023, the former campus of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus — founded by Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini — was entrusted to Iskali to continue its mission of welcome and care.

Today, Casa Iskali carries this legacy forward as a home for encounter, faith and community.

After speaking with the site directors, I was let known that ownership was switched from the missionary sisters of the sacred heart of Jesus (Mother Cabrini) retreat site to a non profit by the name of Iskali. There have been numerous improvements done to the facility since the transfer. Most of them have been an aesthetic upgrade (giving the entire facility a more modern look). I deeply appreciate how Iskali has been respectful in continuing the mission that the nuns left behind. We see this through the beautiful art pieces located around the site and also the high degree of hospitality the current staff offer. I deeply appreciate Irene, Arlin and the wonderful cooking staff that make delicious meals for the guests that stay there. If you a considering having a retreat in the upcoming future, give them a call. The service is top notch. Thank you again for the empanadas!

The individual rooms are comfortable and cozy and the sink inside each room is a nice thing to have. I lived the initiation retreat in March of 2022 and it was such a unique and peaceful experience.
